These drum heads have 2 free-floating plies of 10-mil (0.254mm) Mylar with a reverse black dot. Properties of the BX-0114-10 Emperor X drum head: The 5-mil (0.127mm) black dot ensures a consistent, focused sound. It makes sure no unnecessary resonance occurs and that the snare reacts well to your hits. A double layer of Mylar gives the Emperor X its deep, warm sound while the outer edge provides a sparkling mid range. The extreme durability of this drum head makes it ideal for heavier music like rock and metal.
