The outer edge has been treated with a thin transparent plastic coating that effectively tempers the highest frequencies to hit the optimum balanced between tone-control and response. The Remo Coated Powerstroke 3 Black Dot 22 inch Reworked in collaboration with drummer Steve Smith, this edition of the ever popular Powerstroke 3 has been finished with a 5mm black dot planted in the centre of the batter head. This small addition strengthens the deeper, lower frequencies of the shell and results in a more focussed and direct sound. It also improves durability.
