Product Fundamentals
 •
The Reverend Roundhouse Air HH is here presented in Metallic Bordeaux with bound Ebony fretboard. The Roundhouse Air is the latest evolution of Reverend’s prestigious Roundhouse platform, built, for the first time, with a semi-hollow mahogany body, topped with a laminated maple archtop. Also new are the twin Steelhead humbucking pickups, featuring both Alnico and Ceramic magnets for a perfect combination of smoothness, shimmer, and full bass response.

Buy from Merchant City Music for a customer service experience which matches the quality of the guitar! This latest Roundhouse Air iteration marks a significant development of the platform, introducing, for the first time, a semi-hollow Mahogany body which maintains the compact footprint of the original Roundhouse. A solid centre block meets the 3-piece set mahogany neck to produce a resonant section of mahogany right up the guitar’s length. The result is that characteristic warmth you’d expect, combined with huge sustain. Add on the laminated maple archtop, and you get perfectly complementary harmonics and shimmer.

Reverend have also thoroughly overhauled their in-house humbucker, two of which are fitted to the Roundhouse Air HH. The new Steelhead humbucker features oversize steel poles, and double magnet construction. The oversize poles boost upper frequency response and headroom, for enhanced harmonics and responsive pick attack. The wide magnetic field eliminates volume drop off when bending. The G and high E poles are slightly taller, for consistent volume string to string. An Alnico 5 magnet delivers smooth tone with shimmering highs. A second Ceramic magnet on the opposite side from the steel poles, boosts the bass response, making for a perfectly balanced tonal spectrum. Add in Reverend’s bass contour control, and you have ultimate tonal versatility, with the ability to roll off the bass frequencies to make the humbuckers sound much more like single-coils.

As with all Reverend guitars, the Roundhouse Air HH is built with premium components throughout, including those you can’t see. It uses more consistent ±10% tolerance pots and capacitors (rather than the ±20% parts found on most guitars), and a Pure Tone output jack with dual contacts for a firmer connection, better signal transfer, and improved reliability. A treble bleed circuit maintains clarity when rolling back the volume, while the boneite nut minimises friction, helping the strings glide smoothly through the nut slots for enhanced tuning stability.

A modern semi-hollow for today’s players!

Reverend Roundhouse Air HH Features

Steelhead Humbucker pickups

Semi-Hollow Mahogany body with Laminated Maple Archtop

Three-Piece Mahogany neck with Ebony fretboard

Reverend Pin-Lock Tuners

Bass Contour Control

Tune-O-Matic Bridge with Stop Tail
