Product Fundamentals
-
The Reverend Roundhouse H90 is here presented in Metallic Bronze with bound Ebony fretboard. The H90 pickup layout (previously known as the “double agent” layout) puts a humbucker in the bridge position and P90 in the neck. For this latest Roundhouse H90, these are upgraded to the latest Steelhead Humbucker and P90 models, with the P90 now being hum-free. Add in Reverend’s exclusive bass contour control, and you have one of the most versatile pickup layouts out there!

Buy from Merchant City Music for a customer service experience which matches the quality of the guitar! This latest H90 model has been upgraded in key areas, while leaving the good stuff untouched. That means you get the same Korina body with solid Maple archtop and set 3-piece Korina neck, while the fretboard has been upgraded to more premium Ebony. The controls remain the same, but the pickup selector has been positioned more naturally on the upper bout. So far, so subtle.

Where the latest Roundhouse H90 really moves the game on is in the pickup department. The brand new Steelhead Humbucker and P90 feature oversize steel poles which boost upper frequency response and headroom, for enhanced harmonics and responsive pick attack. The wide magnetic field eliminates volume drop off when bending, while the G and high E poles are slightly taller, for consistent volume string to string.

The humbucker has been further upgraded with double magnet construction. An Alnico 5 magnet delivers smooth tone with shimmering highs. A second Ceramic magnet on the opposite side from the steel poles, boosts the bass response, making for a perfectly balanced tonal spectrum.

On the P90, two matched coils cancel the annoying hum common with traditional designs. The coils are turned sideways, allowing both magnets to be focused on a single row of steel poles, yielding the single-coil snap and punch you expect from a P90.

These hugely versatile pickups respectively offer the rich and thick tone of a classic humbucker, and raw and gritty tone of a classic P90, but both with the punch and responsive pick attack of a modern design!

As with all Reverend guitars, the Roundhouse H90 is built with premium components throughout, including those you can’t see. It uses more consistent ±10% tolerance pots and capacitors (rather than the ±20% parts found on most guitars), and a Pure Tone output jack with dual contacts for a firmer connection, better signal transfer, and improved reliability. A treble bleed circuit maintains clarity when rolling back the volume, while the boneite nut minimises friction, helping the strings glide smoothly through the nut slots for enhanced tuning stability.

If you want single-cut energy with a modern take, the Reverend Roundhouse H90 awaits!

Reverend Roundhouse H90 Features

Steelhead Humbucker and P90 pickups

Korina Solidbody with Solid Maple Archtop

Three-Piece Korina neck with Ebony fretboard

Reverend Pin-Lock Tuners

Bass Contour Control

Tune-O-Matic Bridge with Stop Tail
