- the RoCoder&rsquo
- s engine will generate 32 bands of harmonics using sine waveforms with their volume dictated by the corresponding modulation band. This mode is great for creating atonal sound effects. The combined additive/vocoder mode blends together both the vocoder and additive modes together allowing you to create some truly unique tonal results. &lsquo
- Noise&rsquo
- mode uses the MIDI keyboard notes to create the modulator band. The number of bands is dictated by the number of notes you play. &rsquo
- Tuned Noise&rsquo
- mode is ideal for use on rhythmic sounds such as drums and percussion. It works by using the MIDI keyboard not to create the necessary band. For example playing the A4 note would create one band at the frequency of 440Hz (A4) with the number of bands dependant on how many notes you play. &lsquo
- Tuned Comb&rsquo
- mode creates comb filter bands from MIDI keyboard notes. The more notes you play the more Com Filter bands are played. The &lsquo
- Vocoder Input Carrier&rsquo
- mode allows you to use the side audio input as the carrier instead of the built-in carrier synthesizer ideal for use with external hardware. X/Y Pad filtering and effects As with most Rob Papen plugins the RoCoder features an X/Y pad section that utilises real-time interactive control of a programmable modulation source. You can use the X/Y pad to generate movement in up to eight parameters at the same time using your mouse. You can also record your movements and use the XY pad as a programmable two-dimensions LFO. Both 12dB high-pass and low-pass filters are available to use for sculpting your sound ideal for creating new and exciting sounds. Both filters have cutoff and Q (resonance controls).
