Melodic Maker The Melodic Maker style of tuning is less common than standard Paddy Richter tuning but it offers some valuable benefits. Melodic Maker tuning is the combination of Country and Paddy Richter tunings so when compared Richter tuning the 5th and 9th channels are raised a semi-tone. The 3rd channel blow note is also tuned two semi-tones higher. Many melodies which are only playable using bends or overblows become easily playable with Melodic Maker tuning!
