- This is the Seymour Duncan SCPB-1 Vintage Single Coil P-Bass Pickup Staggered. This is an 8.1 kOhm single-coil alnico 5 bass guitar pickup, intended for vintage P- or TE-style solidbody electric bass guitars. This type of single-coil pickup from the first production bass marked an important step in capturing low frequencies. This P-style element is still appreciated for its powerful basses and subtle, expressive mids. The construction of this SCPB-1 has remained unchanged and is made from authentic parts. With a slightly lower output than other pickups, this Seymour Duncan pickup offers you plenty of headroom, while retaining the distinctive vintage sound. Handcrafted since 1978, this classic F-style singlecoil features hand-ground Alnico 5 magnets. Each bass element comes with wax-treated, tin-plated fabric pushback hook-up wires and is traditionally wrapped in black yarn, just like the original classic pickup models.
