- The Seymour Duncan Slug Rail Bridge Humbucker has a passive dual-coil ceramic design that delivers the extra-high-gain demanded by doom, sludge, stoner rock and metal. The extreme 47.12 kOhm resistance and fierce dual ceramic magnets guarantee intense power, immense sonic size and a more-than-satisfying dose of dirt, which is exactly what makes this rail humbucker so good at backing up slow and brutal guitar work. Since the Slug is a touch longer than standard dual-coil pickups, it comes including a custom mounting ring just in case and, to counter any unwanted feedback, has been vacuum wax-potted. To support coil-split switching for variable single-coil sound, the Slug also comes with four-conductor wiring.
