Product Description
- The all-in-one visualiser At the core of X-Gate is a comprehensive visualiser. The visualiser offers both a waveform graph and an I/O graph invaluable tools for representing key parameters in an all-in-one display. The waveform graph represents the incoming signal as dB over time allowing you to see peaks in the waveform and identify the ideal position for open and close thresholds against the incoming signal. The I/O graph shows the input signal against the expected output signal which is especially useful for visualising the expander and ducking modes. Sidechain and Mid-side processing A flexible sidechain circuit lets you shape incoming signals to stimulate the gate trigger for specific and creative uses. X-Gate features a side chain visualisation graph that displays the frequency range on the sidechain signal and allows the option to cut high and low frequencies with a filter in order to focus the sidechain to a limited frequency band. For stereo sources you can alter the sidechain signal using mid/side processing altering the incoming detection from focusing exclusively on mid-content to only side content. Moreover you can optionally sidechain the gate from an external sound input. Simply activate the EXT button to engage an external signal as the gate trigger. Ballistics and shaping Define the shape of your gating process with attack hold release and knee parameters. The attack knob adjusts the rate at which the gate opens once passed the threshold. The Hold knob adjusts the time that the gate is held open following the signal passing back below the open threshold. The release knob adjusts the decay time of the gate closing when the signal has passed below the close threshold. Finally the knee parameter is only available in expander mode and smoothens the transition between open and closed states. FeaturesEasy-to-use threshold and range controls Rolling waveform visualisation graph Split open and close threshold behaviour Attack release and hold time parameters grant detailed audio shaping control Interactive filter graph to apply high and low-pass filters to the side chain signal Expander mode and accompanying knee control for a more transparent option Discrete lookahead options for minimising latency when using a lookahead Duck mode to invert the sidechain logic attenuating the signal only when it exceeds a threshold Peak/RMS Detection options Tri-colour traffic light cues to indicate the status of the gate Mid/side processing options to trigger the gate in creative ways Sidechain and Gate audition modes for setting the perfect valuesSpecifications Operating system:Mac: macOS Catalina (10.15) Big Sur (11) Monterey (12) Windows: Windows 10 (64-bit) 11 (64-bit) Processor:Mac: M1/ARM or Intel Dual Core Mac running at 2.4GHz or higher Windows: Intel Core 2 (or comparable) CPU running at 2.4GHz or higherFormat:Mac: AU VST2 VST3 AAX Native Windows: VST 2 (64-bit) VST3 (64-bit) AAX Native (64-bit) Product code: 1331-1046
