Harshness reduction After applying saturation and compression most vocals will suffer from some unwanted resonances and harshness. To alleviate this issue Sonnox has placed the Soften parameter at the end of the signal chain. A dynamic filtering process this can be used to address esses in sibilance or other unwanted harsh resonances that occur when processing vocals.
