- Sturdy Steel Shell Construction Made from steel the shells on the Kompressor snare are incredibly robust and able to withstand the gruelling demands of touring. Sonor has included their Optimum Shell Measurement (OSM) technology which consists of a slightly smaller shell diameter compared to the drum head this allows the drum head to sit more flush as well as maximising head-shell contact for a clear more precise tone with every hit. Not only does steel allow for extreme durability but it also produces brutal attacking tones suitable for a wide range of musical styles but in particular heavy metal. TuneSafe Technology Sonors TuneSafe technology is designed to ensure the lugs do not move an inch during any length of the performance. This technology goes a long way in producing the very best tones and overall sound every drummer dreams of. The lugs retain tuning for much longer to ensure the snare comes into a world of its own - allowing every note to be crisp sharp and exactly how the drummer intends the sound to be. Tied in perfectly with this feature are the 2.3mm steel power hoops that assist the TuneSafe lugs in being as still and stable as possible in even the harshest playing environments.
