  • Sony DC8 Electret Battery Power Unit for ECM-Series Microphone is an in-line power source designed to keep the Sony Lavalier microphones running for hours. It is used for charging microphones so that the user does not have to use a bulky power supply. This power unit is specifically compatible with Sony microphones that have a 4-pin connector. The Sony battery power unit comes equipped with an SMCS input and XLR 3-pin output connector, and the power unit has an internal AA battery compartment. This battery assures a power output of up to 5,000 hours. If required, the power unit can also be charged using a 48V external phantom power. This microphone power unit can be configured with an ECM wireless microphone to convert the mic into a wired device. This makes it easy to switch from wired to wireless mode and vice versa. The power unit is lightweight and compact.
