- Stagg present the Stagg VN-4/4 Electric: a standard-size, electro-acoustic violin crafted for adults and younger students aged 12 and up. Unlike most electro-acoustic violins, this beginner-friendly model has a traditional design - including a metal tailpiece fitted with four fine-tuners - and can be used for both practice and performances since it comes complete with a soft case, a bow and rosin. The VN-4/4 Electric: Solid Sound The Stagg VN-4/4 Electric has an all-solid construction where the soundboard is made of solid spruce while the back and sides have been carved out of solid maple. This mix of wood results in a clear core sound alongside ample resonance, all of which is accurately registered by the built-in PS 900 preamp and piezo pickup as soon as the violin is plugged into a matching amplifier or audio interface. The amplified sound can be tweaked to taste via the integrated volume and tone controls.
