Constructed from mahogany the Sterling offers a warm and resonant sound with the iconic pickguard and control plate giving you the same stand-out looks of the Music Man StingRay. A hard maple neck provides a smooth playing feel and a bright addition to your tone. It has been mounted to the body with a contoured 5-bolt joint designed to keep your hand free from any barriers at the top end of the neck. It also features a 38mm nut which is narrower than previous models and creates a tighter string gap for smoother string-crossing. Incredible tones The StingRay Classic comes equipped with a single humbucker which produces a raunchy sound that is ideal for modern styles of music. Featured alongside this is a 2-band active EQ allowing you to sculpt your tone with controls to boost/cut the treble and bass. Whether you want a fat bottom-end or crisp treble frequencies the Classics simple control setup lets you get the perfect sound with minimal fuss. Stable hardware This Sterling bridge has been designed with four individual saddles letting you set up the perfect string action and intonation. The bridge is based on the high-mass Music Man bridge and provides great tuning stability with optimal string vibration transfer. Open gear tuners complement the bridges stability offering quick and accurate tuning. This hardware is combined with a quality set of tonewoods and strong 5-bolt neck joint to create a stable instrument that any professional would be happy to use.
