- With the Studio Electronics Boomstar Modular Filter 4075, you get a voltage-controlled
- 24dB low-pass filter for your Eurorack wall, working with a total of six pairs of hand-tuned transistors. In the lowest Frequency settings, the filter drops harmonic overtones from higher frequencies, with the Resonance control pushing harmonic overtones just over the edge. This filter, based on the ARP 4072, can produce solid kick sounds - but also clear, sharp almost string-like tones. Compared to the ARP 4072, this Boomstar 4075 has no problems in the high end in the 12kHz range, something that plagued the original 4072.
