- The Technics SP-10R is a specialised component within a modular turntable system designed for audiophiles and dedicated vinyl collectors who demand precision and stability. This is not a standalone turntable but an integral part of a custom assembly allowing seamless integration with systems like the SP-10MK2 and SP-10MK3 and an unrivalled level of vinyl personalisation. At its core is a refined coreless direct drive motor which eliminates cogging and delivers incredibly smooth rotation. With its twin-rotor system and 12-pole 18-coil design this motor produces high torque easily driving the heavyweight 7.9 kg platter for ultra-precise playback. The result is exceptional rotational accuracy with wow and flutter reduced to less than 0.015 per cent ensuring minimal distortion and pitch variation. By separating the control unit this system eliminates unwanted noise and interference that could otherwise affect sound quality. Using this you can fine-tune playback speeds to two decimal places on its OLED display. The SP-10R also isolates the power supply from the main turntable utilising a unique noise reduction circuit to maintain a high signal-to-noise ratio and supreme clarity. Supporting 33 1/3 45 and 78 RPM records the SP-10R combines cutting-edge technology with flexibility for vinyl enthusiasts demanding excellence for their collection.
