Product Fundamentals
  • The Topping A Series A50 III puts high-quality headphone amplification directly on your desktop delivering clean and powerful audio for solo listening—all at an attractive price point. It features the same NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) technology originally used in the flagship A90D Headphone Amplifier which is a module designed to deliver ultra-low noise levels (0.3uVrms) and a high dynamic range of 144dB making it ideal for both low- and high-impedance headphones. With both balanced 4.4mm and single-ended 6.35mm headphone outputs as well as RCA and TRS balanced inputs the A50 III gives you flexible connectivity options. It also features three-stage gain selection compared to the A50S two. These are low medium and high letting you match the amplifiers output to your headphones needs. Whether youre using sensitive in-ear monitors or power-hungry planar magnetic headphones you can adjust the gain to achieve improved performance without unwanted noise or distortion. With a CNC-machined aluminium chassis the A50 III offers excellent electromagnetic shielding and a sleek build that fits neatly into any setup. Its 3500mW balanced outputs provide plenty of headroom for demanding headphones while the 12V trigger input allows it to power on and off in sync with other compatible devices such as its recommended pairing the Topping D50 III DAC. This makes it a convenient and powerful choice for both desktop and high-fidelity setups.
