The grenadilla wooden flutes are all cut and hand-finished by English flute maker Andrew Oxley. Cutting by hand ensures extra attention to detail is given to each and every Trevor James flute. Quality construction The Trevor James grendilla flutes feature French-style pointed key arms. Key arms are the metal arms which attach the keys to the body of the flute. With the French style the arm extends out to the centre of the key. The extra length to the key arms adds strength to the key mechanism. They also allow for more precise intonation and reward speedy playing. This will really allow you to improve on the flute without hitting any ceilings that you may encounter on lower-quality instruments. This flute uses the same high-quality Italian pads that are seen on professional instruments. This means more secure seating is able to be achieved allowing no air to escape and ensuring your tone is always fantastic.
