- 8-Bit Chiptune Synthesizer The Twisted Electrons AY3 MKII 8-Bit Synthesizer is a highly portable synthesizer unit that includes dual 8912 chips. The internal 8912 chips were popularised in vintage arcade games and early video game consoles such as the Amstrad CPC Oric 1 Colour Genie MSX and Sinclair ZX Spectrum as well as the Mockingboard and Cricket sound cards use for the Apple II family. The chips boast 6 voice polyphony with 3 programmable voices for optimal versatility. The modulation matrix features a 5x6 white LED configuration that gives you visual feedback on your sequences and parameters. The easy-to-use layout features 5 potentiometers and 1 endless encoder with a push button allowing you to sculpt the sound to your desire. The six voices can be spread detuned split and more to create a varied range of sounds from crunchy synth basses to rich leads and more. Ultra Compact Design The Twisted Electrons AY3 MKII 8-Bit Synthesizer is constructed from brushed aluminium featuring a black finish for a highly robust design. The ultra-compact size of the AY3 MKII makes it perfect for both studio and live performances allowing you to easily transport your module. The full stereo sound delivers 3 voices per channel/chip with controls for volume pitch noise volume envelope assignments arp modes sequencer assignments and more. 4 arpeggiator modes are included for creating complex sequences and rhythms as well as a Glide mode for creating seamless slides between notes. 64 preset slots are also included (8 banks x 8 presets) featuring a varied range of built-in sounds that you can edit and mould to your own liking.
