Despite the length of the 3A drumsticks they are surprisingly balanced and allow for fast playing. Its all in the tips Theres more in the tip than you would think. Vic Firths barrel tip is perfectly proportioned to give you the utmost accuracy in feel and tone. It was designed by cutting off and rounding the original American Classic 5A tip. The length taken off was then added to the butt end of the stick to retain the exact dimensions all 5A users are accustomed to. The result is supreme clarity beautiful tone and great playability. Reliable hickory American Classic Hickory Drumsticks are a combination of traditional and Vic Firth style. They show off bold designs and are made from hickory which is a dense wood with little flex for a more pronounced sound. Hickory is also great at dealing with shock making it extremely durable.
