- Tim Genis is timpanist with the Boston Symphonic Orchestra, making him the successor to the great Vic Firth himself. As a concert percussionist, he knows exactly what sticks are needed in an orchestra. His signature sticks are made of persimmon wood, an American wood and coated with a solid lacquer. Thanks to the oval, wooden tip, these sticks deliver a dark sound with a full body. This makes them excellent for orchestral percussion where dynamics and articulation play an important role.
