- J. Mascis and Paul Gilbert love using.. This iconic pedal sounds like a tube amp turned up to eleven, but can also serve as a booster for your amp or pull an edge-of-breakup sound out of your clean channel. The built-in op-amp circuit gives you the same kind of saturation as a real tube amp, while the UK/US switch toggles between two classic power amp valve sounds (EL34 / 6L6). As you might expect, the ODD Box is built using nothing but high-quality, hand-selected resistors, condensers and transistors.
