The lush, transparent sound of the WA-19 has a lot to do with the slim body, which ensures that this microphone is barely touched by the proximity effect. If the low-end needs reining in a touch, then the ring mounted just beneath the head can simply be rotated to engage the built-in high-pass filter, while the full-range and flat frequency response supports an array of studio and stage jobs so that, just like the original, this model can mike up everything from tom drums to acoustic guitars.
