Besides a maximum gain-boost of +26dB, this in-line signal booster sets you up with a 12dB/oct low-pass filter for trimming excess low frequencies while close-miking instruments, and you get a high-shelf boost that kicks in with 2.5dBs starting at the 3kHz mark.
