When paired with the Renaissance Diplomat batter head and Snare Diplomat resonant head the shell delivers controlled response and clear tonal detail. The result is a concert snare sound that sits naturally within an ensemble while still offering the clarity needed for exposed percussion parts. Interchangeable snare systems for flexible performance This concert snare drum includes both coil and cable snare options allowing you to tailor the response to different musical settings. The coil snares are made from ultra-high carbon steel with a smaller coil diameter supporting precise pianissimo playing while maintaining strength for louder passages. Alternatively the cable snares use straight stainless-steel strands with a carbon-infused nylon coating. These reduce noise when engaging the snare mechanism and produce a crisp focused tone. Ten central strands provide power while outer strands enhance subtle sensitivity helping delicate playing carry across a concert hall.
