Hamilton plating for lasting performance This version of the YCL-CSG features Hamilton-plated keys an optional finish designed for improved durability and a refined playing feel. Hamilton plating uses a specialised alloy of gold nickel and copper that is harder than traditional silver plating helping protect key surfaces from wear over time. This can be particularly useful for players practising or performing regularly as areas with constant finger contact remain smoother and more resistant to tarnishing. The finish also provides a slightly firmer more secure touch under the fingers. Combined with Yamahas ergonomic key design the mechanism feels comfortable stable and responsive during extended playing sessions. Comfortable and controlled keywork Yamaha redesigned the key shape and mechanism to create a more natural playing experience. The updated layout sits comfortably under the fingers helping reduce unnecessary hand movement during technical passages.
