The Yamaha YEV-105 Electric Violin: Special Construction & Special Sound Besides using specific woods, the five-layered construction ensures sublime tonal response while the sweeping walnut frame has been finished with an oil rub to further retain resonance and the composite fingerboard adds particular timbrel warmth. When it comes to the electronics, the YEV-105 has been furnished with a high-grade SV250 piezo pickup that guarantees flawless sound registration and comes coupled with a mounted volume control.
