- Xeno series The Yamaha Xeno series of tenor trombones are built for use in high-level orchestras making them perfect for pro players or advanced students. Drawing on masses of experience in the production of brass instruments Yamaha are able to construct perfectly rounded tubing for the smoothest possible airflow through the instrument making the trombone incredibly easy blowing. Their precision engineering also allows for effortless slide action which massively increases the playability of the trombone. By hand-hammering out a single piece of brazed brass thousands of times Yamahas craftsmen can create a flawless one-piece bell giving the trombone a rich tonal colour with effortless projection. From start to finish this trombone was designed and built with professional players in mind. Rotary F-trigger The YSL-882 comes equipped with a hand-lapped rotary valve attaching to an F-loop. The airtight light action of the valve allows for quick and smooth valve switching allowing you to easily change the fundamental down a major fourth. This gives the instrument access to a lower register as well as alternate positions for many notes which allows for easier traversal of quick passages. Included extras The YSL-882 comes included with a professional orchestral-standard Yamaha L51C4 mouthpiece. This mouthpiece is designed for an excellent response through all registers and a tone which is full robust and warm. Also included is a professional-quality Yamaha SLC-88U hard carry case. This sturdy construction is designed to protect your instrument from bangs and scrapes keeping it looking feeling and sounding like new for much longer.
