- Part of the Zildjian K-Family, the K0812 Light Hi-Hat features extra-thin cymbals for extra-light sound. Here, the top cymbal has a medium-thin weight while the bottom cymbal has a medium weight, making these hats a bit slimmer than the regular K-Family version. The Zildjian K0812 K Light 14-inch Hi-Hat Despite the lighter design, the timbre of these hi-hats is predominantly dark and low-pitched - just like other K Family cymbals. At the same time, the cymbals shape clear trebles and slightly more overtones while keeping the sustain and volume more or less average. This hi-hat works well in jazz and country as well as light pop and rock music. Zildjian K cymbals are handmade from a B20 bronze and, here, have been given a traditional finish.
