- This Low Volume ride cymbal by Zildjian is meant for practising, but thanks to its special alloy, it sounds good enough to be used for small-scale performances as well. It sounds about 80% softer than regular cymbals, no matter what you use to play it - sticks, rods, brushes, mallets, you name it. The L80 Low Volume ride plays exactly the same as a standard ride, and is 20 inches in diameter.
