These pickups were designed by Paul Reed Smith and are based on the coveted 85/15 humbuckers found in PRSs USA Core line of guitars. The "S" designation refers to their moulded construction which allows for enhanced clarity and balance in the high and low ends. These pickups deliver a punchy humbucker tone that still retains clarity and definition making them perfect for everything from hot lead lines to intricate chordal work. Additionally the push/pull tone control allows for coil splitting on both pickups giving you access to single-coil tones as well. This adds a whole new layer of versatility to the already impressive tonal options of this guitar. With just a simple flick of the tone control you can go from thick humbucker sounds to bright and twangy single coil tones - perfect for everything from funk and country to rock and metal. PRS Tremolo and Tuners The PRS SE CE 24 features a patented PRS tremolo system which is designed to provide smooth and stable whammy bar action. The bridge also has individual saddles for each string allowing for precise intonation adjustments. This means you can divebomb to your hearts content without having to worry about going out of tune. To keep the guitar in tune PRS has also designed their own set of tuners for this model. These are high-quality and reliable tuners that will ensure your guitar stays perfectly in tune no matter how hard you play.
