Product Fundamentals
- The RME DMC842 functions as an AES24 interface and an eight-channel digital microphone controller in one. This powerful unit is able to convert up to eight microphone signals into ADAT
- AES/EBU or analogue signals, and by adding the i64 MADI card (not included) even supports MADI. Because the inputs are compatible with AES3 and AES/EBU, the eight individually adjustable sample rate converters guarantee super-stable clocking and maximum stability. Conveniently, the DMC-842 can be fully remote controlled via MIDI
- AES, and MIDI-over-MADI. With this chunk of hardware, sixty-four audio signals can be transferred via just one cable, and with the help of the Micstasy and ADI-8 QS, this interface can be linked and cascaded, removing the need for any expensive extra patch bays, meaning that this model supports live rigs just as easily as it supports studio rigs.
