- Drum Models Choose between a large range of drum synthesis models to get your sound right. This includes models for bass drums snares hi-hats toms claps and a selection of percussion. As well as this there are built-in samples for each of the pads with over 400 integrated. Sample Pad Drag and drop your own samples to customise your drum kit further. And each sample pad can have three layers allowing you to create complex drum sounds from simple parts. There are also many ways to manipulate samples including filters envelopes LFOs and granular editing. Then you can manipulate samples further with the slice pad. This allows you to slice up samples into individual pads with a range of different modes to use. You can use this to get more hands-on with samples changing them up and altering them completely. Patterns To start grooving try the pattern mode with eight sequences available and each containing four tracks. Test what your patterns sound like with the audition mode all with the ability to combine up to eight sequences - plus eight sequences. Then fine-tune each track with tune pan and envelope speed controls. EQ filtering and four effects processors To top off Punch-2s capabilities there is a load of extra things to get your drum sound just right. A master page has EQ filters a compressor a limiter and a mono/stereo filter. In addition there are four effects processors with 31 FX types to choose from.
