- Sabian has been able to create interesting cymbal sounds for the conventional models (hi-hats, crash, ride) as well as for the effect cymbals (splash, and particularly the new O Zone Crash and Effect Crash models).@+@+The new HHX line of Evolution models is characterised by excellent dynamics and a fast response as well as warm and present fundamental sounds. The effect cymbals distinguish themselves by their idiosyncratic and characteristic soundscapes, which have the potential to be interesting for drummers as well as percussionists. With regard to musical fields of application, many areas are conceivable, as long as a particularly high volume is not required (... but what are microphones for?).@+@+When it comes to workmanship, the well-known high quality of Sabian is offered and our test candidates proved to be reliable and flawless in the practical test. Even the flexibly sensitive O Zone Crash Cymbals survived an overload test without damage or loss of sound. In this respect, the pricing is quite in order and corresponds to the usual framework. An individual soundcheck can be recommended for the fine effect sounds alone, but even the conventional models have excellent sound characteristics that should be able to convince any interested drummers of their value.@+@+"
