Its frequency range of 80 to 20,000 Hz is adjusted to outdoor use and ensures that everything within human hearing is picked up, but without noise, wind and breathing noises. The omnidirectional pickup pattern contributes to this ease of use: everything around the microphone is clearly picked up, making it ideal for field productions for TV, film and radio! There are three versions of the SM63: the short version (the SM63), the long version (the SM63L) and the black, long version (the SM63LB). The SM63 is 145 mm long, while the L versions are 230 mm long. A longer microphone is easier to position and will therefore make it easier to optimally pick up sound.
